About the Cuttagee Artists Group

Cuttagee is a spectacular area of natural bush that is fringed by secluded white beaches and sandy coves. It nestles just south of the popular fishing port of Bermagui on the Far South Coast of New South Wales.

Because of its beauty and serenity, creative people have long been attracted to the area. In 1996 a group of artists from around Cuttagee and Bermagui formed the Cuttagee Artists Group and staged their first group exhibition over the Easter holiday period.

The Cuttagee Art Space at Barragga Bay, gives the exhibition a lovely bush setting, with it's simple gallery space and sculpture garden.

Over the last 16 years the popularity of the Cuttagee Group and their Easter Exhibition has grown, until it is now looked forward to as a prestigious event on the local Arts Calendar. Over time the group has grown and members have changed and each year the Exhibition includes a number of invited artists, so there is always variety and something new to look at.

This year the theme for the Exhibition is "The Poetry of Form" and the participating artist have used their own insights and particular talents to interpret this fascinating theme.
